Kinderhood began long before it had a name.
A family-led story that started in a Richmond garage — and grew, quietly and on purpose, into a curated home for children's brands worth keeping.
Our story started in Richmond, British Columbia in 2014, when Hark — a father with an engineering and project management background — began searching for better-quality children's products for his own home. What started with adjustable wooden children's furniture, carefully chosen for its function, durability, and thoughtful design, slowly grew from a garage-based business into a deeper passion for children's goods.
With years of experience in global trading and product sourcing, Hark founded B2BC Solutions Inc. and began working closely with international brands. In 2017, the business entered the children's toy and gift industry, becoming the exclusive Canadian distributor for beloved brands such as Tender Leaf and ThreadBear Design.
In 2019, Hark met his wife, Kimmy. Together, they continued shaping the business into something more personal and intentional — a family-led company built around the products they would feel proud to bring into their own home. In 2023, the company became Kinderhood, a name that says what we care about most: growing alongside children and becoming a small, meaningful part of their childhood.
Today, Kinderhood represents a carefully curated collection of premium children's brands, including Tender Leaf, Mentari, ThreadBear Design, Miniware, and more. In late 2025, we expanded beyond toys and gifts into new categories such as children's tableware, bath & body, and healthy snacks — continuing our mission to bring thoughtful, beautiful, and reliable products to families across Canada.

As parents ourselves, we believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, creativity, and everyday moments of discovery. Hark and Kimmy have three children, and their own parenting journey continues to shape how Kinderhood chooses every brand and product.
We don't bring in products just because they're easy to love. We look for products with purpose — items that are well-designed, safe, long-lasting, and made by brands with clear values.

The Showroom.
In 2023, we opened our Kinderhood showroom in Richmond, BC to create a more personal and premium experience for families, retailers, and brand partners.
The showroom is family-friendly and children are always welcome. Customers can book an appointment for one-on-one service to explore our collection in person. Whether you are choosing a special gift, discovering a new brand, or learning more about our wholesale program, we want the experience to feel warm, thoughtful, and never rushed.
